The University of Florida’s School of Forest Resources and Conservation is searching for dynamic and motivated candidates to apply for the new Assistant Professor – Human Dimensions of Natural Resources Position. This appointment will be 60% teaching, 20% Extension and 20% research.

The successful candidate will teach two courses per year related to the social aspects of natural resource management, develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program, mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and develop an Extension program related to candidate’s field of expertise.

Human dimensions may include resource governance, communication, conservation behavior, community engagement, environmental education, environmental psychology, environmental justice, or collaborative adaptive management, for example.
