This is a call for an Assistant Professor of Cultural Ecology in the Department of Natural Resource Management at South Dakota State University. SDState is the state’s largest, most comprehensive university with more than 200 programs and an enrollment of approximately 12,000 students. This position is located at the West River Research and Extension Center (Rapid City, SD). Job responsibilities include in person and online course delivery, mentorship of undergraduates and graduates, engagement with diverse individuals and groups, and attainment of external research funding. The successful candidate will also be the SDState West River Wizipan Program liaison for the Wokini Initiative located on the main campus in Brookings, SD.
