The University of Maine seeks outstanding applicants for a transdisciplinary Conservation Science and Practice, NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program that will prepare the next generation of conservation leaders. These scholars will integrate biophysical and social sciences in collaborative, engaged, and solutions-driven research, professional development, and coursework on resilient conservation of natural resources. The involvement of faculty from multiple academic units at the University of Maine allows students to earn graduate degrees in Communication, Forest Resources, Wildlife Ecology, or Ecology and Environmental Sciences, while participating in our graduate specialization in Conservation Science.
