Expertise in human dimensions of natural resource management, outdoor recreation, recreation ecology, or eco/sustainable/natural areas tourism.
Specialization in the conservation and management of natural areas, parks, and protected areas is preferred. Also, certifications in areas such as outdoor leadership, wilderness first responder, adventure activity instructor/guide, adventure based counseling are desirable. Candidate should demonstrate experience obtaining external funding, collaborating with natural resource agencies or the private sector, and completing funded or unfunded projects. A record of publication in state, national, and/or international peer-review journals is also required.
