We are excited to be moving forward with plans for our upcoming IASNR Conference in San José, Costa Rica June 26-30, 2022!

While we are looking forward to gathering with our colleagues and friends, protecting the health and safety of everyone attending the IASNR Conference as well as the community is the highest priority for IASNR. As such, we are closely monitoring news and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the World Health Organization, and local health agencies regarding COVID-19, travel, and events. The public health situation and recommendations are dynamic and we will be updating the Conference Health Protocols and Expectations as needed. We encourage you to check the website often for any changes as the meeting approaches.

Conference Health Protocol Basics

All attendees (presenters, program chairs, session chairs, exhibit booth staff, volunteers, attendees, guests, press, and others) will be required to:

  1. Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.
  2. Verify vaccine status with a third-party system.
  3. Wear a mask over nose and mouth for all conference events, except when actively eating or drinking.
  4. Comply with all of Costa Rica’s COVID-19 safety requirements. These will be shared on our website as the conference dates approaches.

The IASNR Executive Team and Conference Support Committee is currently exploring options for third-party vaccine verification, as a number of options exist (such as Safe Expo, Clear, HealthPass, or others). Third-party verification will ensure data privacy and security, as IASNR will have no direct access to any individual’s vaccine documentation. Additionally, third-party verification guarantees authentication of vaccine documentation from a wide range of international health and vaccine agencies. Third-party verification will have no additional cost to members.

Please check back often for any updates to the Conference Health Protocols and Expectations.
