We regret to inform you that the ISSRM 2020 in-person conference in Cairns, Australia has been cancelled, and we are working towards an ISSRM 2020 online alternative. We are in the early stages of considering virtual options to enable members like you to share your research and have the scholarly discussions that are at the core of our organization’s mission.

It’s painful and disappointing for all of us, but this decision was not made lightly. After much deliberation with the ISSRM 2020 hosts, Tom Measham and Stewart Lockie, and IASNR staff, Executive Officers, and Council members, the IASNR Council voted on March 10th to cancel due to ethical concerns about the physical and financial risks to attendees as COVID-19 escalates around the world. As of today, the World Health Organization has classified the COVID-19 outbreak as a global pandemic.

If you registered for ISSRM 2020, IASNR will be fully refunding your registration. We will be in touch with you separately on this.

We want to thank Tom Measham and Stewart Lockie for their enormous effort and years of work planning ISSRM 2020.

Your membership is very important to us and to the vitality of IASNR as an organization. Renewing your membership this year will go a long way toward helping us continue to support you and your work.

We hope you stay safe and well and look forward to interacting with you virtually, and seeing you at ISSRM 2021 in Portland, Oregon, USA!

Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Best regards,

IASNR Executive Officers and IASNR Office
