We are excited to welcome you to Costa Rica in a few short weeks. As you prepare for your trip, please be sure to bring a light rain jacket, small umbrella, and sunscreen. Although Costa Rica is not requiring arriving passengers to show a negative COVID test or proof of medical coverage, we encourage you to check the COVID requirements for any other travel destinations you may have before you depart.

The University of Costa Rica has helped prepare a document detailing places to eat, shop, seek medical help, etc. Please review this document and keep a copy with you on your trip.

If you are presenting in a session, please be sure to bring a USB drive with your presentation in PowerPoint and PDF. In the case that you lose your USB drive, it is also recommended that you save your presentation files on cloud storage or in your email.

Sessions are 90 minutes in length with 3-5 presentations in each. The number of presentations in the session will determine individual presentation length.

  • Session with 3 papers: 25 minutes max per presenter.
  • Sessions with 4 papers: 20 minutes max per presenter.
  • Sessions with 5 papers: 15 minutes max per presenter.

Remember that masks are required to be worn over the nose and mouth at all conference events unless actively eating or drinking. Please practice presenting with your mask on if you are not familiar with teaching or presenting while wearing a mask. We strongly encourage participants to wear KN95, N95, or comparable masks as cloth or surgical masks do not provide the same level of protection.

It’s not too late to sign-up for the Young Professionals’ Event (also known as “Early Career Professionals’ Event”). The event will take place at The Holiday Inn hotel on Monday, June 27 from 8:30 – 10:30 pm. Snacks and one drink will be provided. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased on the registration and marketplace page. Ticket purchases can be made until June 23rd.

If you haven’t already, please download Whova to access the conference program and networking tools. Contact [email protected] if you have questions regarding Whova.

Lastly, we want to hear from you on social media! IASNR is on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. During the conference, please tag us using @info_iasnr and use #2022IASNR_Conference.
