A position is open for a PhD student to join Dr. De Urioste’s human dimensions of conservation research group in the School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine (Orono, ME) in Fall 2022 as part of the transdisciplinary Conservation Science and Practice NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program. Graduate students in this NRT program will 1) be trained in social and biophysical sciences; 2) participate in conservation internships with one of our partner organizations in Maine; and 3) be engaged in collaborative-solutions driven research. The ideal candidate for this opportunity has intellectual and professional interests in applying interdisciplinary concepts and tools to develop solutions to complex conservation problems.
