The Natural Resources Social Science lab at Purdue University is seeking a Research Associate/Outreach Coordinator will oversee multiple research projects related to environmental quality issues in working agricultural lands. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with other researchers to conduct all aspects of survey research, including data collection and writing for publication. Specific tasks will include: designing, printing, and administering surveys; cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data; supervising undergraduate lab assistants; organizing and conducting team meetings; and preparing articles for journal publication.
An MS degree in an applied social science field such as social psychology, environmental sociology or natural resources social science is required. This is a great position for a recent MS graduate looking to expand their methodological skills and build networks. Additional requirements include: good writing and oral communication skills, knowledge of agricultural conservation policy and water quality issues, and experience conducting research interviews and analyzing survey data.
