The Social and Economic Analysis Branch of the U.S. Geological Survey in Fort Collins, CO, is excited to announce an employment opportunity for a research assistant that will provide support for the project titled Users, Uses, and Value of Landsat Imagery. The Users, Uses, and Value of Landsat Imagery project involves communicating the scientific and societal value of the U.S. government’s Landsat program. The main focus for this position will be continuing and expanding work on case studies of Landsat applications. Key tasks include: identifying, obtaining, reviewing and synthesizing interdisciplinary literature from a range of social science fields; collecting information on Landsat imagery applications; and producing written summaries of these literature reviews and imagery applications. Additional duties may include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, interpreting results, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications or other means of disseminating results.
