The Department of Environmental Studies, California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2020.  This position is based on an academic year appointment as a faculty member with duties including, but not limited to, teaching, research, and service.  Expertise in one or more environmental disciplines including, but not limited to agro-ecology, urban ecology, conservation biology, or global change science. Required qualifications include: PhD or equivalent degree, demonstrated proficiency teaching and mentoring students, potential to develop student research projects/lead student teams, evidence of research and scholarship, and demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student body. Preferred qualifications include: Experience with diverse undergraduate populations, an experienced communicator, experience with professional environmental activities, ability to teach a range of environmental courses, and potential for scholarly achievement.
