The W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation at the University of Montana – Missoula seeks an Assistant Professor of Outdoor Recreation Management to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research in the areas of outdoor recreation, parks and protected areas, and wildlands management. We anticipate candidates could conduct research and outreach in the areas of outdoor recreation, parks and protected areas, Wilderness studies, health benefits of outdoor recreation and trails, recreation planning, environmental and adventure education, visitor management, large landscape conservation, and rural communities. The Department is especially interested in candidates who contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community through their research, teaching, and service. The position will be a full-time, nine-month tenure track appointment with approximately 45% teaching, 45% research, and 10% service responsibilities expected to begin fall semester 2020.
